What is Cisco SD-WAN CLI?
Cisco SD-WAN CLI is a tool for configuring and monitoring devices within your SD-WAN. It provides commands that you can use for managing the software, hardware and network connectivity of your vEdge routers and vSmart controllers.
The CLI has two modes. In operational mode, which is the initial mode when you log into the CLI, you can monitor the state of your vEdge devices. You can also use this mode to troubleshoot both the device and any connectivity issues that it is experiencing. In configuration mode, which you enter through a CLI command, you can change the operational parameters of your devices. This mode also includes submodes, in which you can alter a specific subsection of the configuration, such as a particular interface.
To use the CLI, you need a direct console connection to either the device or network through SSH. If the device has not been previously configured, you will receive instructions on how to do this when connecting to it.
